hi there,

could someone please measure the length of the bolts that hold on the timing belt roller and timing belt tensioner roller onto the block.
i bought a secondhand set of bolts and sleeves and when i offered them up to the block both bolts were getting only approx 4-5mm of thread into the block - surely theses are the wrong bolts?! the bolts i have are definately too short!?

also these bolts are M8 thread so could i just use M8 threaded bar or are these bolts high tensile jobbies?
do these bolts have a GM part number?

thanks in advance for the replies!

they should be 12.9 grade allen key bolts mate.. about s mm sounds about right i think from memory.. try one in the hole to see how far in the block is tapped but defo wouldn't be putting any threaded bar (allthread) anywhere near my cambelt rollers. if i remember there was also a mod done on the later "towers" which made them fit to the block better
