cav v6 automatic to manual how hard???
i have a 93 cav v6 automatic . and im just wandering how much work is involved to change it to a manual? i know about shafts, box, gearlinkage, pedals, these arent much of a problem as i have a rotten manual sri sitting on my drive with no engine so could take the parts off that. will the ecu be ok with a change to a manual?

just about to do a similar thing myself mate. Im buying an F28 gearbox to drop in mine. You need a manual gearbox (obviously!), flywheel, V6 clutch cable, manual gearbox stick (complete assy), both gearbox mounts, driveshafts dont need changing. Its probably easier dropping the engine out as you have to mess about behind putting the brake and clutch pedal in. Ive got a flat C20XE flywheel for mine and just waiting for the right F28 to come by! As for the ECU, there is a feed from the auto box to it and I think you need to put a live feed to it or something, cant remember exactly what I was told.

sounds fairly simple then . why are u going manual? i find th e auto nice about town and in traffic but feel the car would be far better to drive with a manual box .
