Astra G x20xev running problem

The car has a bit of a lumpy idle but will idle fine.
Runs fine, uses a bit of petrol, more than usual i think ......
When you put your foot down hard in 2nd, 3rd & 4th, when you go for the next gear there is like a 'chirp' under the bonnet, almost like a miniture dump valve, sounds like drivers side, between engine & windscreen ?!?!

Had Tech 2 on it, no codes, tested injectors .......no extra gadgets fitted by previous owner ....

Anyone had a noise like this ?

My sri 2.0 mk4 made the same noise between all gearshifts if you put your foot down. I never worried about it and never caused me any problems though mate. I think its probably something in the egr system releasing pressure/recirculating something.
