LET engines come with yellow injectors as standard, have a set here if you want some (PM me)
and yes the XE inlet cam mod works, if you get an adjustable cam pulley to go with it at the same time, so you can set the correct timing to get maximum gains (~20BHP)
was looking at a good upgrade option but havent a clue whats the best to go for but just brought a set of xe cams for £50 just need an ajustable one lol
wanted ajustable cam for the xe cam swap
Use normal yellow injectors if the engine is standard or nearly standard.

what about the cam swap do you think it works and is worth while
Yes it's worthwhile if you use a vernier to set the timing correctly.

nice one mate this has helped what about injectors also evo 5 chips any ideas on where i can get these regards shaun
Evo 5 works fine on standard:
Injectors
Pistons
Rods
Head
Headgasket
Cams
Inlet manifold
Turbo
You should change:
Intercooler
AFM to turbo pipe
Spark plugs (regap to .7mm)
Fuel pressure
Oil and filter
You should check:
Fuel pump voltage
Cambelt/waterpump age

Not sure on fuel pressure, have a read up on the Vmax website
The AFM to turbo pipe is awful as standard, and can collapse under vacuum causing all sorts of problems. You're best getting a silicone one or a metal one.

EVO5 runs higher boost making it harder for the spark to jump, closing the gap prevents missfires.

You need a smaller gap with increased boost to ensure you get a good spark. NGK BCP7EVX plugs are ideal, as are Ford RS Turbo ones (standard ones). Don't bother with anything else. You also want to check the condition of your cap and rotor arm as running more boost will show up flaws in these!

ive found some on ebay for £$ each does that sound right

you dont need different injectors, you just need to raise your fuel pressure.
You can buy NGK's in halfords for about 12 quid, just look ask for a set of 1988 Ford Rs Turbo ones.
