    identifying cams Help!!

I have recently bought a 1.3 8 valve rally car. in the spares that came with the car was a cam with kc ast3, i am asuming this is a kent cam.
the one that i'm stuck with is the one that is in the car. it just has an A stamped on it.
does anybody know if this is the standard cam.
thanx in advance for any replies.

I would'nt think that the cam with A is a standard cam, not that I've come across anyway.
Could well be a reground cam.
Do you want to part with the AST3?

No i think i will keep it. the A does seem to be in the same place as the A in AST3.

You could always measure the cam to find out what it is.

first of all measure the base circle of the cam (the smallest length) then mease the longest length of the cam, subtract the base circle figure from the other figure and that will give you the lift of the cam

    hope that made sense
my girlfriend told me nova was a crappy chav's car!!

    now i'm single
