Then i cleaned the innjector out and idling spring. it still didnt start. then i new it wasnt a fuel problem as i can see the fuel coming out of the injector. then i opened the distrubutor cap and cleaned it out. and still does not work. Pull an HT lead off the plug and leave it near a metal part of the engine. Crank the engine over and you should see a spark jumping the gap.

Next, crank the engine over for a few seconds then take the plugs out and sniff for fuel, you should smell it in the cylinders.

Is this an engine swap, did the car run previously? What's the history with this?

    Hi
This car has given me nothing but trouble. When i brought it 6 years ago the ignition coil went. Then the head gasket and then so many other things. It was working perfectly before.

    Hi
Checked for spark and there is nothing at all. I followed your instructions. What shall i do as none of the leads are letting a spark through.

Take the king lead off the coil, and see if the coil is producing a spark (you may have to use a socket extension or something to give the spark an earth)

If there is a spark here, then your distributor is faulty
If there is not a spark here, then you need to do more checks.

Can you smell fuel if you remove the spark plugs?

Okay check for a spark at the coil. You could also use a multimeter to check the coil has power.

Id change the coil pack with another one, also make sure the power connector that powers the coil pack is correctly plugged in. If so and still no spark id check the crank sensor.
