It quite rare to get a turbo to seize so i'd be inclined to say its probably not that.
First thing i'd to is check the boost circuit for leaks....holed/split pipes, loose clips, cracked intercooler, that type of stuff.
Is the turbo maknig a funny noise.........as in haha thats funny or oh **** that doesn't sound clever?? A decent description may help.
Also are you sure its not boosting, do you have a guage?
rs1 im going to put a gauge onit tonight! But there is deff no boost leaks, there is also no turbo noise i.e spalling up, (feels like at 1.4 lol)
before when i had boost the turbo used to make a whirling noise (slightly metalic when backed off!)
But ever since iv had the car the boost has never felt rite!! the car would feel like its holding back!? It has also just killed a coil pack! Could this all be related??
The dead coil pack shouldn't have an input on the turbo.
I'll have a guess and say the air flow meter could be fuggled.
