I am Currently running a Calibra Turbo engine in my Nova.
I use Mann Transmission Big Driveshafts with their modified Astra Flanges, Astra Inner and Outer CV Joints and Nova Wheel Bearing, standard hubs.
Yesterday I noticed the wheel Bearing seemed loose, stripped it down lastnight to find that the Flange had started cracking where it has been machined and the bearing is knackered.
Does anyone know of a better way of running this setup, machined hubs or similar.
Any help much appricated. Borrowing my mate driveshafts and hubs to get me to Billing!! And driving a Fiesta at the moment!!!
Astra Bearings won't fit into the Nova Hubs without a lot of machining.
I have heard that VW VR6 Bearings have the same internal diameter has Astra Flanges and slighty bigger outer diameter than nova Hubs, Meaning the Nova hubs will need to be machined slightly to fit the standard astra flanges and VW Bearings.
