Yes theres a day 3, and yes i am milking this, theres no rush so quit yer whining.
The box is in. Spent most of the day giving the replacement unit the once over, swapping engine mounts, plates, bolts, release bearing, new seals, splash a bit of grease about the place. Then later in the afternoon edged the box into place using concoction of trolley jack, rope and limbs.
Basically all set, but, i intended to do this at a leisurely pace and on that note theres gonna be a day 4. Still got to refurb the driveshafts and few other little things, its all down hill now though, put my feet up and freewheel the rest of the way.
Had a bit of a run through the gears with the engine off, everything is smooth and quiet. Although i had a bit of a scare where i accidentlly managed to manually engage 5th gear on the end of the open housing and the stick wouldnt go ito 3rd 4th or 5th again, i shat myself. Just undid my mistake and big sigh of relief.
