Right i have adjusted my clutch with the "cable adjuster nut"
and the clutch pedal is still moving back down towards the footwell!(after some driving) so as Gary said in the other post maybe the thread has gone in the nut!? But also i have noticed while looking at the haynes manual that on the oposite side to the adjuster nut there should be a tiny clip??!! WHAT DOES THIS CLIP DO? DOES IT HOLD THE CLUTCH ADJUSTER IN ITS PLACE LIKE A LOCK??
can't remember on mine whether there ever was one - thing is as long as the thread inside the nut is fine, there's no way it should ever slip because the slip of the actuator fits it snugly, and it's under tension anyway - there's no way it can be 'unscrewing' itself - it's got to be slipping.
measure the thread length - try and rig up something to stop it slipping.
