Long story short= My GTE pulls poorly above 5200. Almost everything in engine bay has been changed...
We wanted to change the intake manifold (had already tried the nozzles).
Swiss engine is in car, german engine is on the floor .
The manifolds where cleary different, but hey - shouldn't be a problem right. Wrong of course - On the swiss engine theres a hole:
and a corresponding one on top middle of the manifold (ignore arrow for now..., I'll get back to that thing):
The German block, also has a hole - but this one is blocked out about 1-2cm in.
And the german manifold has, well nothing.
So now, we have to change the entire head instead. Peachy... BUT - if you divert your attention back to the arrow on the swiss manifold.
This wire plugs into that contact:
The million dollar question:
WTF is it, and does it matter if we just take of the swiss head and put on the german one with its own manifold?
oh, don't tell me the engine is dirty... I know
So if you can tell me this, I'll go from to and go out for a couple of
