I saw the feature in this months Total Vauxhall about the Nova Sport, and was interested in the backbox which was made specifically for the Nova Sport by Ashley.
I phoned them up today to enquire but the guy just rambled a load of **** to me, he said it is only worth having on a Sport as that is what it is designed for. He said it only has a 2" exit which i knew, i want it as it looks kinda looks standard but red! He then went on to say that people 'actually make exhausts with three inch exits and even twin exits' lol, as if i didn't know that!
The car is kinda loud at the moment, its running a 4-1 manifold and straight through centre section, so i thought this might baffle the sound a bit but with out being too restrictive?
He also said that it wouldn't fit the Mk2 Nova as the exhaust is routed differently, but i was under the impression all the Nova exhausts are interchangable on the carb'd models??
Anyone got one on these, as i'm interested to know how restrictive they are? I'll be running it on a 1.4SR, 4-branch, straight through centre section, flowed and matched head and 40's if thats any help.
I think he doesnt want to sell you one because, he can BS you into getting a more expensive system, and maybe because its not a nova sport. It should be fine on your car. The late/ early spec bumper issue is different, where arly spec bumpers have a cut out, while late spec ones dont, so the tail pipe comes out slightly lower on a late spec back box. There is no reason why you cant jiggle it about to get it to clear the bumper. ( Thats my car pictured in total vauxhall.) GOOD LUCK with getting the back box its nice to see someone go for something different.
