so there, lol
im new to turbos, its my first day
dont believe the hype
wanted - 2 false limbs and a wheelchair
i am interested in this thread because there is a welath of turbos that fit the T3/T4 flange and the cossie 4x4 std turbo is an excellent unit.
Has anyone actually fitted a cossie t3/t4 turbo with one of courtenays manifolds as i would be interested in knowing what the clearances are like and how much of a mare the related plumbing is.
I have fitted a cossie t3 to a Nissan 200sx and believe me it's not easy but well worth it for the power alone
Most "hybrid" turbo's i've come across sacrifice quick spool up at low revs for high end power. I had a hybrid KKK-16 on mine, and although u could hear it spoolin up at 1800-2000 revs, it didnt really start kickin the boost in till about 2500-3000. She pulled right up to the rev limit too .
My mate has a tuned cosworth running a T34 hybrid, she has more lag than a standard T3 which he binned in favour of, but boy does she fly on boost .
My understanding of hybrid, is that they've taken a stock unit and changed a few things to get the desired effect. Whether thats quicker spool up or more high end power.
Tell me about it, i want mine back . Still waiting on wallace performance to send me my bearings and rings which i ordered weeks ago .Originally Posted by coolamasta
