i still have the original Bosch alternator on my pre 1993 turbo engine which as now gone a bit pear shaped. I know i thought, I'll just get and exchange from vx. Big mistake, The exchange one is a Delco-Remy, no problem with the function of the Delco and it's probably a good alternator, BUT, the pulley on the delco is closer to the alternator body than what it is on the bosch. Meaning the belt now runs at an angle instead of a straight line pulling it efffing close to the cambelt cover, only a gnat's cock in it. This will obviously wear the bearing down quickly and I have the possibility at high revs the belt will try and jump off the pulley.
Anyone know where I can get a like for like bosch exchange in Kent or should I just get my current one overhauled.
