    hi

    I've rigged up a shield on the subframe but one heavy puddle got through the filter van conked out but luckily was ok

    Why not try a standard cossie 2wd alloy f.m.i.c. can be picked up off ebay for 40quid or under, much bigger than standard

    Its always been laggy its standard turbo, nice boost when it comes on though does use juice though

    I/C is mounted next to the radiator. There are only two sorts of bumpers for Cavs, the normal one and the GSI/turbo one.

    Laggy? Uses juice? What's wrong with it? Mine starts spooling up at about 1900, and I'm on full boost by 2200.

    He might be thinking of the airbox on the manifold? laggy ie comparing my mums focus td's spool up much lag. 10quid 50-60 miles maybe its the eccentric cone i put it back wrong, i lined it up with the dimple on the end still juicy hmm. Might have to take a look, fueling is up 1/4 but anymore and it starts reving and no amount of idle fiddling will bring it down so 1/4 is fine.

    yeah i did look at that cossie one last night on there, didnt no if it was different tho, im trying to aim for looks, and performance at the same time, so want it front mounted, on show plus it will get better cooling then hiud behind the bumper

    if you doing that why not get another manifold and mod it to fit a t3 and make use of that big i.c.

    Dont think it would be that hard remember you need to be a reasonable welder and you need an arc welder http://www.mig-welding.co.uk/cast-iron.htm for welding iron

    You'd have to have a look at the casting on the manifold but you might be able to cut an rs manifold up for the mating point to weld onto the isuzu one.

    some interesting stuff to read on Vxon, some people are saying you can bolt a turbo on from a montery which sounds interesting
    Owns a white Mk3 turbo diesel with more stopping power then engine power..... boosting 0.9bar, Now De-catted!!

    Turbo from a 3.1 Isuzu engine goes straight on apparently.

    aww good stuff, anyone know what sort of bhp the standard item will run max? or ideas, figures on the old, and the 3.1 trooper turbo?

    with upped boost and fuel, what are you looking at? 90bhp? on the standard item, with mayb a cone filter

    I have an old diesel derv and got [alleged] 120mph 2L8v - the final drive is so high the cam pulls at [alleged] 95mph
    I put a viper induction; 50mm striaght thro s/s zorst; twin plastic performance back box; [used a bleed valve was gr8 till HG went] melted 4th cylinder due to veg oil and had it rebored 1mm oversize; ported and roughed out inlets
    iam now looking to pumb in an intercooler just for the hell of it - when i weld the rust holes for the mot lol

    when i took the cone out holding it in my hand, i thought **** i'm supposed to mark this

    How can i check the fueling, pressure gauges?

    i have now upped the boost/fuelling on my cav 1.7td cdx .it pulls a lot better,not so bloody slow now.i will have to get it on the rollers to see if i have cracked the 100bhp mark
    98.9p/L why is diesel more epensive now
