I'm impressed with 14.93 seconds
A couple of questions (purely out of interest)
Is the corsa stripped out ?
Is it running slicks or road tyres ?
What boost pressure ?
Any other tips for getting the best from the Isuzu motor ?

yes my car is stripped out. it only has one light seat. most of the dash has gone with only the clooks left. also I have took all the parts of the car that I do not need like the bumper bars.
it is running road tyres. on the front is 245 x 65 x 14 and on the back it has 13" steels with 155 x 65 x 13
I am running at about 1.4 bar of boost
and your last question. I run the car on shell optimax diesel with diesel booster I get from northants motorsports. the best way to make your car faster is to take as much out as you can.
I also have a cut out pipe where the cat was. so when at the track I can run it on open pipes ( helps the turbo spin up )
I will get some batts for me camera so I can get some pics for you
run tamdem turbos. http://www.dieselperformance.com/

Now thats just porn.
I happen to have 2x1.7 turbo's and a 1.5 turbo.......
Might need to do some fabrication if i can just get some more pics of that designlmao
I wonder what the lag would be like?
if you run a 1.5 TD I would run a 1.5 and a 1.7 turbo the lag should not be to bad as the 1.5 will kick in first and then the 1.7 would spin up to the red line. but if it was me i would run a 1.7 turbo and a bigger turbo to take it the rest of the way. but the big thing is how mad can you go with a 1.5 or a 1.7 TD engine ? it would be good to find out
Well i'm doing it on 2 of my motors and ones a 2.5 transit lol. fabrcation isnt the hard just a lot of pipe lol ,the 1st stage turbo needs to be matched as good as it can to the second stage(second stage being your original turbo). if your running say 17 psi then your manifold pressure will be 14.7 X 2.1 X 2.1 = 64.8 psig aprrox. you need to work out the cfm of the chargers aswell think yours will be about 165cfm @ 2.1 PR ,after this it gets a bit complicated Be nice to see you have a go at it.
can anyone help me with my rev counter over reading ??
road dog , your rev counter is over reading cos your shift light is for a petrol and its supposed to take the pulse from the coil so it gets say 1 pulse per cycle , on a diesel the pulse comes from the alternator and its far more than 1 a cycle , you need to get some kindof pulse convertor , one guy on here said he made them and sold them for 35 quid or so , basicly it will count say 8 pulses - (for example) and send out one and sit in between your shift light and alternator tacho output - OR another way to do it would be to make up a round piece with a bolt welded around the outside , head facing outwards make it so u can bolt it onto the end of your crank pulley , then get a hall sensor and make up a bracket so it detects the bolt head moving past , then hook that up to your rev counter as a switched negative oh and try to make it so the peice u bolt on to your crank pully is balanced not one massive bolt on just one side :-D
Dom sells the pulse converters
Can I have contact details of Dom please
Better get over to the for sale section as there's a batch of pulse converters being made up now:
Last batch of pulse converters for this year.
well good news with my corsa I have spent the last week making the car road legal so I can take part in the street racer series and after lots of hard work and some late nights it now has a MOT. I had to put some bits back on and wire up the lights oh and swop the wheels over. I got a good deal on a set of 4 astra mk3 alloys with brand new tyres for Ł80.
Hi , thought i best pitch in here and show my little wagon , having done the whole twin turbo thing , now tri turbo ! , so that no one can claim that theyve beaten me to it LOL , seeing as theres another guy on here claiming the same thing , but as yet hasnt shown any proof as yet , and the spec is incoherent , but claims 286hp ??? - my 1.5td ( 1.5 choosen for the extra meat between cylinders , + simulations have shown me peak hp to be the same as 1.7 only a decrease in torque ) - has stock ihi rhb3 still in place , but blown into by 2 rhb4's - before you rush to post - no the little turbo wont over speed / blow up etc etc , seeing pressure forced into it via 2 other turbos , its a compound turbo setup , all been extensively calculated , not a parallel system, they are in series and multiplies pressure ratios , which is exactly what im after as i have calculated to get beyond 200hp from a 1.5 , you need at least 350lbsmin to be safe if at a 19afr and 0.365bsfc will require at least 50psi Plus , boost ! ( which as you know cant be done by any turbo on the market today )- i would of gone for a simple twin setup instead of the OTT tri setup that it is now but , the space in the bay is at a premium for a whopper of a snail in there , so it had to be split between 2 mid size units to be woken up by the stock unit ,
I have to say though , the whole thing is not something i would do again , i would do something more conventional given the choice instead of trying to chase a 12 sec 1/4 in a bloody diesel ! , hahaha -
The time it took to build a oil / scavenger sytem to service the low mount turbo and keep the reduction in oil pressure in check , ironing out all the flaws and leaks alone etc i could of slipped a LET in there ROFL , but for now the corsa is still in development period at the mo but has been driven at low boost ( still on f13 box , and the engine internals have yet to be worked on ) - all to be done over the winter , just have to finalise compression ratio specs , and complete the large task of starting to semi space frame the chassis for weight saving,
if anyones at all interested in it , i will apologise now , for i rarely post and am bit of a forum noob , in case replies are slow , - heres some pics just as proof , ( hope they work ) , dont wanna hype to much though cos im not one to be drawn into speculating on any build until theres dyno sheets or 1/4 times to back it up , will post when done, and when i can say that ive actually achieved something ! cheers
Jesus!!! ^^
thats one hell of a build there, would love to see some video's of that on the move
Owns a white Mk3 turbo diesel with more stopping power then engine power..... boosting 0.9bar, Now De-catted!!
**** me.

Teeth? LUXURY! When I was a child we ate by putting rocks in our mouth and jumping up and down.
cheers jack , just been struggling with those little buggers - why are they so small ? they are in large format in my photobucket account , surely you sould just get a link to them in their orginal size ?
That's the size they are in your photobucket matey. Looks seriously impressive, have you ever had it on the rollers? What's it like to drive?
I can't even imagine what that sounds or goes like.
Teeth? LUXURY! When I was a child we ate by putting rocks in our mouth and jumping up and down.
thx i appreciate that jack , - na not been anywhere close to the rollers yet , wont be for a good long while , just one of those slow burning sort of projects lol , the noise is insane though mate , addictive , sounds like a small jet engine , no silencers , the turbos in themselves do a good enough job at baffling the rough diesely sound leaving only spooling sounds , boost on the stock turbo picks up a fraction later than it was but as soon as you feel that building it takes only another 1000 rpm to bring the others in , cos as you know the bigger turbos are then getting more exhaust voume from the smaller one effectivelly increasing the engines capacity helping spool , boost begetting more boost as it were !
My god. I'd love to see some videos like... third gear from 20mph upwards.![]()
