I think F-28 is stronger gearbox , but at higher revs change the gear not good for F-28.
So , F-20 is good , Or F-20 With a closer ratio quife diff best.
Did not think XE's made enough torque to make a requirement for an F28. F20 is fine. TOrque kills em not power and your mates corsa will still be a fair bit less than 200lb ft torque if naturally aspirated..
And I am assuming there is a typo on one of the replies as a Getrag F28 is tougher than an F20 box........................:nod:
