    Intercoolers on N/A engines is...

    a bad idea if i remember coz this was discussed a while ago?? Cant find the thread u see

    there aint much point cooling air with air when its all at the same pressure and temp

    yes bad, it would be like me or you trying to breath through a macdonalds straw. the point of cooling a turbo charge is cause the turbo heats the air immensely. N/A inlet charge is atmospheric temp already.

    think u would also find that it would be restricktive to a certain extent so loosing power, also the longer inlet track would loose throttle responce

    yeah, you could always cool 20 degree air with 90 degree coolant

    youre are missing the point here, all an intercooler and charge cooler does is reduce inlet charge to as near to atmospheric temperature as it can. N/A engines already draw in air at outside temperature.

    gotta be worth at least a tenth of a bhp on a n/a motor

    Man, it would look kewl.
    A dump valve (or equvalent noise generator) would be even cooler.
    A large wing at the back (no need for it to be functional), as well as grossly flared arches to accomodate 19" wheels.

    Believe it or not, all the above have been debated time and again by people struggling to impress without shelling out for a proper car!

    NO

    Some1 at work was asking if it worked or not - he didnt believe me when i said it wouldnt work, and as i couldnt find the thread about it, i thought id ask.
