Having wasted 2 weeks in the garage gettin the txb fixed, now i am told that the system will (still) not work due to there being too much pressure in the system. what could cause this? I have bought a 2nd hand txb and accumulator (the txb was pressure tested etc, dunno about the accumulator) from Gav Wallace and everything else seems to be fine, but what the hell causes too much pressure?
Please help. I am goin fu ckin NUTS!!!
If I dont get this fixed soon, the car WILL be sold, and Il buy a ****in RELIABLE cossie
Exactly how did they come to the conclusion there is too much pressure?
My immediate reaction is to say that too much pressure will eventually stain the seal and blow it, and yes it would be because the regulator is not functioning properly. No indications of this so:-
If they are saying that the error code indicates pressure high then that would be because 10Bar + is present when the brakes have been applied over 16 mph. That could be a faulty pressure switch or solenoid not releasing properly. This would also be indicated by a flashing dashboard 'telltale' - the only time it does.
More information please, including year of manufacture and model !
