I tried searching but couldn't find anything relevant.
Car = Corsa Club 1.2L 16v ('99 T)
The engine (coolant) temperature gauge (in the dash) has started going up to max (>100 C) and then wanders about. Normally this sits between 90 and 95 C, and pretty stable. I've checked coolant and oil levels and both are fine. The engine itself doesn't seem to be overheating (opening the bonnet doesn't hit me with a blast of heat any different from usual).
Clues as to what the problem is?
Where does the gauge get its signal from? Where is that sensor located?
TIA for any help.
