O.k, my bloody car just seems to want to break on a daily basis at the mo..
i couldn't start the car the other day, power was there but wouldn't even crank...
this was traced to a bad earth, the braided earthstrap on the gearbox is frayed and manky and needs replacing (doing tomorrow)but he got a good connection and now the car turns over, however it won't fire..
the AA man checked for a spark by taking the lead from coil to dizzy and connected a spark plug and there wasn't a spark when turned over..
He reckons it's the ignition module and said that it's probably cos of the bad earth it's taken to much load and blown..
im sure it's not the crank sensor as i put a new one in about 2 months ago.
I know if it is the crank sensor you don't get injection or ignition but if the ignition module goes would it still get injection?
i just wanna make sure it is the module or something on the ignition side and was wondering if i took the plugs out after cranking it over would they be 'wet' just so i can rule out injection?
is there any way of testing the module?
