Nice , spic and span.
You going to play with your cams then
EVERY ACTION HAS AN EQUAL AND OPPOSITE REACTION.
Wonder how long it'll stay that posh ?
i see maaaany maaany zipties
as to staying that nice.. well depends on how long it is till the next fuel leak - not many things strip hammerite off, but petrols one of em
the holes in the cover.....oh, yeah... course I put them there to play with the lift on overlap
tie wrap rating is about 50% of last years, or (about 0.338 of an Animal) so getting better
So all you've got to do now is drive it for about 30 miles. And then
it's time for rebuild.
thing is tom I'm not entirely convinced I've done the rings right, as it's burning a little oil.
ehhhh, gotta have something to do lmao
I only wish mine could ever look that clean mate, job well done I say...
Where did u get you Strut brace from?
hah.. you should see the inside rob..
it's an alloy OMP one, from just about anywhere, but Dtweeks is the usual suspect in my case.
Black engine bay is it??
black hide dirt, oil not show up on black...
hehehe good thinking, here have a for being so smart
Where is it black up to then?? Trying to imagine hwo it looks with the yellow exterior and black engine bay.
not smart - just practical, and although it looks ok, I'm not really into fussiness and toothbrushing sessions, so out with the hammerite..
the whole bay has been done, right down to the chassis rails and up to the scuttle, plus the various bits like ARB, servo, MC etc..
What is the coating on the SBD exhaust manifold, paint or ceramic?
Looks very nice. Does the strut brace not hit the trumpets when your booting it? Or do you have very very hard engine mounts?!
Giles - it's VHT paint - seems to work very well.
Dave - nope, nothing fouls anything - engine mounts are standard, but reinforced.
Wow, they must be really reinforced then.
Ive seen the marks on the top of brens oil cap where it has hit the strut brace (OMP one like yours..)
packed with poly bush, so not excessively so.
but remember peak torque on mine is probably about 180lbft - whereas Brens turbo lump is probably pushing 50% more.
Anyway, engine looks lovely
lovin those cam pulleys
