Well, replaced the immboliser today with brand new Laserline 921V2 unit, using existing wiring loom fron previous immboliser (which had burn't out internally) But still have the same problem.....AAAARRRRRRRRrrr
Is definatly the fuel pump turning off thats making the car cut out but Why is it turning off in the first place?
The strange thing is that placing the key back in the immboliser when the revs drop turns the pump back on and the car continues to run so what I can't understand is why is the immbiliser turning back on....Its as if its not getting a message/signal that the engine is actually running......Where does it get this info from....& just to confuse things even more, if you rev/drive the car it seems to run for longer than if the car is @ idle only....
So, Will be removing the immboliser completely tomorrow I think to see if the problem is something to do with the actual wiring....
Had a Chat with someone who has had a valver engine in the there mk1 for years and will be testing all my sensors (i.e. temp sensor/amm, etc in the week but I am seriously getting stuck for ideas now... What could cause the Immboliser to kick in again after being deactived (not a fault with the unit as brand new) seems as above that the immobilser doesn't infact know the engine is running>>>
Anyone suggest anything?
If I have no joy, will look at replacing the the ecu maybe as I'm told this can also turn the pump off if it has a Prob, also the car still has no real power above 3K (used to be scarey fast, i.e. moving all over the road if u really booted it & I've had the clutch replaced aswell now so is not that slipping....to Recap
The car will not run for longer than about 15secs when idling & longer when above idle/driving + no power over 3K....
Engine is XE dizzyless, ECu has the folowing codes on it....
So what make/model of ecu do I have?
Thanks people, I must get this sorted, car has been out of action now for over a week!
yeah mate thats me, what Ecu is your old one mate, how do I tell which model mine is, all the no.s n the cu are on the above post....
16v astra, the immboliser is installed correctly mate, so the immboliser detects the fact the engine is running from the ign live, do u think all are the same? it says nothing in the installation notes..
Thanks for the advice, car is now running, basically rewired the car this morning/afternoon & low & behold the dam thing only works!...
Well, still have a major lack of torque above 2-3K But i can live with that until I get the diagnostics done, I intend to go see a bosch specialist, will they be able to hook my ecu into a box of tricks to find out whats up.....Wont they
I dont have a diag plug as is hybrid, as in 16v engine in mk1 but hopefully they will be able to tell whats playing up, I still think amm or coolant sensor..
