I've just switched from an 8v Cav Sri 2.0 to the 16v (Redtop) and I'm looking for a few extra horses on the cheap that won't knock up my insurance. In the 8v I fitted a Spitfire multispark unit (replaces the distributer cable and causes multiple sparks at each firing-very cheap/easy/effective) and an Ecotec Venturi Effect Valve (not to be confused with the Ecotec engine). I would like to fit the same to the 16v but it doesn't have a distributer cable so I think the the Spitfires out and frankly, while I could find my way round the 8v engine I'm a bit lost on the 16v.
Does anyone have any experience of either of these devices on a 16v Cav? If so can you tell me how effective they were with this engine and maybe point me in the direction of the brake servo pipe from the manifold chamber. Better still, if someone has one installed and could send me a photo?
