Not much surprises me these days, so when I removed the oil cap to top things up I took the sight of creamy crap in my stride.
The thing is though, the coolant header tank is as clear as a bell, and because I replaced the cams recently the engine sat in bits for nearly a fortnights. In that space of time the odd bit of rain water did get into the cam area.
Is the sludge a knackered gasket, or could it be that the rain water in the oil ends up coating the filler pipe in this way.
If so, what do i do, get some engine flush and renew the oil?
