Might be worth checking AFR first before you increase boost, but it does sound like it is going well.

Are you still running standard XE pistons and standard compression ratio? if so then

How are you getting the extra fueling required for boost then if ur using the N/A management, what fpr you running?

To me it seems like ur pushing your luck and its going to melt some pistons soon but fair play if it does last

Standard XE pistons are the same as LET for strength (both cast) so that won't be the an issue IMO.

The CR is a little high for a turbo engine running pump fuel, but he's only on small boost....Raise it though and you'll be detonating left right and centre without high octane fuel and standalone management....

At least throw in a thicker head gasket to lower the CR to about 9.0:1

    ANYWAY............

LETS KEEP ON TOPIC EH !!!! lmao

its got a full let bottom end and what does it matter if it goes bang as we got more let bottom ends in the garage for spares, and yes it is running through stock cream injectors, an astra gte brain, its running a 2 stage fpr what was included in the kit,we emailed matheus and he told us how to set this up.

no mate what we are saying is that the engine that we are running is a c20let engine with all the rite bits inside but running on stock 20xe injectors and stock 20xe ecu....so whats irrlevant to the tread then...

FFS - the XE and LET internals are exactly the same, it don't matter if everything were forged steel - the point is running cream injectors and lots of boost = LEAN which = MELT PISTONS !!!!!

Plus this thread is about how to install the mvaux turbo and for reference to other members - not talking about the pro's and cons of running this turbo on your engine

Please start a new thread if u wish to discuss your engine any further

    Thanks

    Matt

    Hi artfulmatt!

Can you give me info about the inlet pipe?
I need a 90° elbow but what diameter?

    And after the turbo?

I'm waiting the kit from Brasil!

    Thank you for your help!

It's the same as the LET......

Unless ur not using the LET loom...in which case this thread is only good for the fitment of the turbo etc....not the boost control

From the AMM its 80mm but the turbo is 60mm....so you'll need an 80-60mm reducing 90 degree bend.... I couldn't make mine fit though So used an 80mm 90 degree bend and slipped over a 60mm piece of silicone pipe I had laying about and then tightened down on that with the 80mm hose

    After the turbo it's 2.25"

Has anyone got any pics of where the vacuum supply for the wastegate is plumbed in?

Also, is it a 57mm to 51 reducing 90 bend after the turbo?

Just waiting for my delivery from Brazil!

where did you guys get your exhausts and screamer pipes made up when fitting this kit, and what sort of price did it cost

Also, where did you get the 'nipple' to fit the vacuum pipe to the intercooler pipe??

    thanks, chris
Why is it than whenever I rebuild my engine, I always end up with with a box of left over bolts!?!?

    another question.....

what did you use to seal the manifold to turbo etc cause matheus says it doesn't use gaskets??

I took mine to powerflow for the downpipe and screamer....probably do the screamer yourself though

The nipple - I used a matal T-piece and just cut the T off and drilled a hole in me pipe and had the T welded to it you can buy metal vacum thingy lenghts from demon tweeks.

I used a T3 gasket - get them from burton power (although Matheus supplied one) you could get away without using one though

PS:- don't use exhaust gasket paste as this may drop into the turbine
