John from Chiseldon has a 1.6 engine on twin carbs. Very tuneable engine is the 1.6. Hmm, I think he's making 125BHP or similar.
Torque won't be as much as a 2.0, but from what he's been saying, they go impressively well.
I suggest you try and get a Nova GSI head as that has the best design of the 1600's that Vauxhall made. This is what I have on my car. Remember the SE RR day, I was making about 130 with an engine that was running rich, it's now sorted and feels that theres a lot more there.
The only other thing is that I have no actually seen the engine yet, Jonnyg has go it. He says its a mk2 Cav big block engine, will that cause any problems with tuning? And I take it the Nova Gsi head wouldnt fit that.
