From my own research I concluded that for everyday journeys it wasn't a good idea as it tends to be jerky and a bit naff at low throttle openings. Great if it's just a ragging up the strip car though.
it can be done easily, there is a company in yorkshire called bog brothers who can make you a manifold for any set of throttles for around £200 you then need get a ecu to run it all

Been lookin into this as it seems quite cheap but now this Megasquirt stuff is confusing anyone got a website/link which simply tells me what i need to build it i so far have worked out i would need Universal MegaSquirt Harness Kit, MegaSquirt v2.2/3.0, possibly the MS-II Upgrade or MSnS (is this pretty much the same thing btw just as i understand the MS-II is faster and newer but MSnS has more features) why would this be needed and what is the Flyback Board, i want to learn about this (i aint really got a clue about it tbh but hey you gotta learn some how!) or what are the off the shelf management stuff like?
yep . done a 16v 2litre on TB's allready : http://www.16vmini.co.uk
used a megasquirt , whole lot cost under 300 quid for ECU , tb's , etc ... it all worked fine if you want a cheap way to get more power and ITB's ... but if you are after ultimate power then buying correct ITB's would make sense ..
but then thats spending money for moneys sake ! lol
cool will check it out is this all i would need? http://www.a-e-a.com./new_page_2.htm - im still think of options to go for not sure what to do i quite fancy some TB's not really interested in top performance im looking i suppose for some kind of mid range type product, the car will still be being used as a road car you see.
Just don't look at what the car is too hard. It may distress you!
Funnily enough, the owner said the Frod boys hate him for using a Vauxhall engine, and the Vauxhall boys hate him for putting a GM engine in a Crapi! Talk about how to make everyone hate you.
The carbs are R1 ones (a 1000 cc Yamaha just a bit quicker than your car, for all you non-bikers).
i have a mk3 astra on R1 bike carbs, fine around town, perfect idle, no problems at all. i arent using standalone management, im just using a 1.6 cav dizzy set up.
bog brothers made my inlet manifold for me, great guys.
i would have thought bike carbs vs 45's would not be much in it , i am sure one is better ... but not by much ! lol
ITB's vs std setup , do a search .. lots of anwsers on that#
