The catalyst is like a big filter filtering out some of the harmfull exhaust
gases. Due to the construction of it, gases are forced through it creating a
back pressure. The de-cat pipe de-resticts the exhaust system so that you allow
the gasses to pass out more quickly.
You'll need to refit it for the MOT though as it's not strictly legal. But it'll give you a
bit of a boost in performance.
i read somewhere that back pressure can increase low end torque. as in initial acceleration. i may have just imagined it though!! lmao i do that alot.
I had a dreem that Bin Laden had bombed a nuclear power plant in England. Coz the radio was on when i woke up, i was convinced i had heard it on the news. I went to work in a panic, and was really confused why no one else knew!! I took about 3 days to realise! I'm a f**kin loon at times!!
Anyway, how much would a de-cat kit cost, inc fitting etc?
