Just had a look at the end of the breather pipe coming of the rocker cover and i noticed it was puffing a little smoke out....not too much but noticeable.Donno if its always done it cos the pipe goes down the back of the engine nearly to the floor.Does this mean that my rebore might be coming a little earlier than planned or is it quite normal??
How long has it been since your last MOT, because thats an old trick I use to do with my cav mk1 unfortunately its now illegal (as far as the MOT goes) because the fumes are suppose to go back into the engine to be re-cycled. you can have it 'dangling' before an MOT and after, but not during.
Mine does it quite badly, and I have been told its the bottom end that needs an overhaul, but I'm not going to bother, I will just drive the car for as long as I can and then scrape it.
If I change trhe oil every 5 or 6000 miles and flush it every other time, there's no reason why I shouldn't get another couple of years out of it or at least 15 or 20000 miles (he says - hoping)
Well ,it should be going back into a oil catch tank as theres nowhere for it to go with the TB`s on.Its not chucking out any oil, just fumes and a bit of light smoke(stops when ya rev it?)
Dont think that it matters where it goes as far as the mot is concerned....there quite a lot of vehichles which run like that.
Might just have to thrash it a bit more and see if it gets worse
yeah just thrash it mate, it will be easier to see then lmao
strange it goes when you rev it, maybe the pressure change sucks it round the engine instead. any blue smoke out the tailpipes? if not then i reckon its fine.
