Over the last few weeks I have been getting fault code 113 come up when I boot it in 4th. I traced this to me setting the acctuator too low and since turning the boost up it has come on far less. I thought it had gone completly but it came on again today so I wound the boost up a bit more to hopefully get rid of it.
After winding it up I went out for a drive, floored it and the ECU light came on and didn't go out at all. I got home and read the fault codes, 114 appeared. I turned the actuator down a bit thinking I had wound it up too much causing it to now overboost. I started the car to go and test it again and the light came on straight away, I expected it to stay off once I restarted the car. Do I just need to leave it for a bit longer before I re-test it?
Any ideas? Am I on the right track thinking I have increased the boost too much and I just need to turn it down a bit to sort it out? Also, could anyone explain why the fault code refers to the boost pressure at idle? I didn't think there was any boost at idle.
