Engine Code? and HT Leads
In my ever lasting battle to get rid of code 93.
Im gonna replace the HT leads (as far as IM aware theyve never been changed in 75k miles anyway )
I was gonna go and get a set from Halfords. Will these be OK? Will they need to know my exact engine code before selling em me? (as im not 100% sure what mines is!)
That's gonna be a tricky one....
33 ('84 & '91 - '93) MAP Sensor Circuit (signal voltage high)
34 ('85 - '90) MAF Sensor Circuit
34 ('84 & '91 - '93) MAP Sensor Circuit
35 Idle Air Control Circuit
36 ('85 - '90) MAF Burn-Off Circuit
36 ('92 & '93) Distributor Ignition System Fault
41 ('85 - '91) Cylinder Select Error
41 ('92 & '93) Electronic Spark Timing Circuit
42 Electronic Spark Timing Circuit
halfords have flip books dude. you open to vauxhall (you writing this down dave? ) then you go to astra, then you see, oooh 1.4!! yey found it, well done dave!! if you follow across with your finger you can get the magic code...then you just look up and find it on the shelf.
halfords leads are fine BTW
lmao lmao lmao lmao lmao lmao
Just thought i'd add this even though it isn't of any use
The Halfords flip books don't list all car models. When I got some HT leads for my Cousins Escort GTi the book didn't list them. We had to go to the desk and the bloke looked it up on the computer.
Halfords list hardly anything for the GTi. Weird even though its a popular engine
PAH It's a ford. lmao lmao
C 14 SE is your engine. Cost me £19.99 for a set when i changed mine. Bosch seem good, code 93 suggests something a lot more serious than leads.
