This afternoon decided that a change of airfilter was required. So off i popped to Merlin Motorsport to get myself a nice air filter. I got myself a JC40/65 with a blank baseplate as wasn't sure of the type i would need.
Thinking this would fit ok purchased it. But. After positioning it up i have two problems.
1. Alternator in the way. (Fairly easy to sort out)
2. Brake lines sticking out too far.
What's the best way to drill the baseplate (Aluminium sheet) and going about marking it up?
The question is are GTE lines difference to mine. I know that Gary P has modified his but Mr W or Animal or anyone else did you have probs with fitting. Or could it be due to the way the carbs come from my inlet manifold itself.
Also on 16v's is the alternator on the leftside of engine bay like shown in pic, as i presume they are all in same place.
Am also curious as if theres any difference between the "sausage" filters and the normal ones?
Anyone able to help or suggestions as to what i do?
