Excuse me if this seems a bit silly
I recently renewed the plugs and ht leads on my 1.6 Cav Mk3 and performance seems slightly worse than it did with the old ones???
I wondered if the plugs needed gapping b4 fitting, but the guy in the shop didn't mention anyting about it so I just assumed they were right out of the box???
The plugs are NKG (er NGK???...one or the other) any one know if the gap needs setting???
Also, since changing the plugs I've been getting some nasty shocks off the car, sometimes with sparks jumping from the lock to my key giving me a bit of a jolt!!! Could this be due to the gaps???
