i ran my XE coolerless for over a year, on fully synthetic 0-40 oil i was seeing up to 130 deg C at the oil pump on prolonged heavy usage and high rpm (i.e track use) with the standard XE cooler it doesnt go over 100-105.
I was not saying that i was going to fit it with out a stat!! Jut wanted to make sure that the stat was in the sandwitch plate. And what temp it kick in at.
any one had to replace a faulty stat, its something ive had on the back of my mind a while as i dont have oil temp guage to see if its working. i mean every one has done a water stat havent that so they do wear out.
