ok im gonna remove the oil cooler, and hopefully do this:
- fit the sarnie plate from a 20XE to the 25XE block.
- fit and bend pipes to suit
- fit the oil cooler rad, just in front of the water rad
- plumb it in
- cross my fingers
Swindon Race engines want £124 for a blanking plate for the old oil cooler, but a local engineering firm are making me one for £15
Any problems to be expected then? I mean, why on earth is it between the heads in the first place.
