Where 2 buy an engine hoist?
anyone help me out here?
i used to have an RSJ going acrros my old garage, so that was sweet, but no i moved i cant have one put in.
Anyone no where i can get one on wheels or whatever, and a ruff price?
MACHINE MART do them for around £150 ish www.machinemart.co.uk
ta very much
why not just hire one? Thats what I used to do - around £25-30 for the weekend.
was going to but i gotta a couple of jobs to do.
anyway if i have one, i can remove my mums M3 engine when she isn't looking
Screwfix direct do a 2 tonne one for a fraction of the cost of the Machine Mart one. Prices at screwfix include VAT & Delivery too.
trebore, where do you hire an engine hoist from for £25-30 for a weekend? pls tell me, my block is waitng to be taken out..i was quoted about £105 for the weekend by HSS!!
hss do a 500kg hoist for £60 all in a week
trevor, machine mart has a hoist for £159 screwfix direct is doing one for £179 i would call that a fraction of £20 more expensive!!lol
a week? the guys i phoned said it would be £45 per day +vat...that for the branches in london, so i dunno how they said £60 per week?
they didnt say, i have just done it. hired the fecker for 2 weeks...went a week over timewise, should have bought one to begin with
wells that the same thing for me, i need to hire it twice, once to take the engine out, then about 3-4 wks while i rebuild it, and then need the hoist to put it back in again, yes it would be better for me to buy one, but then i`d be lumbered with it, my wife wont let me keep it in the flat so what do i do with it? thses bastard comapnies rip ppl off with their high rates, shouldnt cost more that £20 per day i say!!
An initial search of their web site showed only
