I have replaced the coolant temp sensor on my Astra to cure the non-starting problem when lukewarm. It is much, much better now but there is still the odd occasion when the engine does not "catch" so to speak and hunts between 250rpm to 1000 rpm and then cuts out. I think this might be the idle control valve needs cleaning so in order to apply the 'coup de grace' to the refusal to start problem I'm going to have a go at this.
My question is : - do I need to remove the SFI box to get at it as I believe the rubber seal on that is tricky to reseat.
Can I get at the idle valve from underneath easier?
