This is hard to explain but I'll give it ago. Ever since I had my transfere box replaced a few years back the car makes a loud groaning (may be a Flexing kind of noise) from under what sounds like the front passenger area. It only happens under heavy acceleration. I don't have to floor the guts out the car but it happens what ever the road surface, smooth or bumpy. It’s louder the more the car bounces like it's grounding out, and is really bad if I put my foot down going up Hills. Recently one of my suspension springs snapped so I got a whole new kit fitted and was hoping that this would have fixed the noise. The new suspension (Koni) feels slightly softer than the previous kit and this has made the noise worse. If I drive normally over speed humps and bumpy roads there’s no sound, but If I keep my foot down in the floor and the car starts to smooth out there’s a grinding kind of noise that disappears as the load reduces, By load I mean pulling the weight of the car (that’s why it's worse going up hills)
Sorry about the long description but it's hard to put into words and make sense.
I did search around on this forum and on a different note there was mention of a clunk noise when driving on full lock. if I reverse round in circles there’s a huge clunk and the car jerks at the front and keeps doing it. Is this a CV problem?
p.s I have tried it in 2WD and it's the same
