I am fitting a C20XE into an astra cab (mk3). I have a astra gte 16 as a donor car. I fitted the gte suspention at the weekend (inc 60mm lowering springs) and the wheels look like they sit to near to the arch at the top of the wheel. They also seem to be tracking out! Will this be a simple matter of adj the tracking or do i need astra gsi gsi suspention?
HELP!
Any other info that i might need to do the transplant would be helpful and greatfully recived.
60mm can sometimes be too low that's why. You'll have a crazy camber (which is probably what you're experiencing) on that and the tyres will not last 5 mins.
Extra weight of the cabrio will bring it down more though Rob, remember, the springs on there are for a MK2...probably an insignificance though, but worth taking into consideration...yours has dropped nicely Rob. Seen the pics.
The wheels is sittin in at the bottom and out at the top, not what i expected from lowering springs! The back looks good though. Is mk3 front suspetion diffrent from mk2? Should i try putting gsi astra mk3 suspertion on insted of mk2 gte stuf?
