The SRi140 limits at about 7300rpm.
Or do you mean per gear, or at which MAX speed?
1st gear : 50
2nd gear : 75
3rd gear : 100
4th gear : 120
5th gear : 150 (in theory)
I have had my SRi up to 146 on the M74 at Millbank, with this speed being verified using a Strathclyde Police VX Omega from Motherwell.
if you mean rev limit, it thinks its around 6800rpm, thats what mine does anyway
Cheers Rev limit i need to know for the 20XE though.
Mine revs to over 7500 (according to the rev counter). Has mine been chipped or summit? How can i check?
if it goes to 7500 then its had somthing done to it as mine has been chipped and still goes to 6800, and if it goes this high hav the rod bolts been done tooas i think standard one onlys are only safe to 7250, to see if its been chipped have a look at the ecu which is tucked up in thr drivers foot welland see how many bolts are holding it in, there should be 3 but there a pain so some peple(including me)one use one bolt to put it back, and also chek the ceu itself by looking at the metal tabs that go all the way round to see if they have gat ant scratches on threm as you have to bend these out to put the chip in
I try not to take it over 7000 anyway but Im gonna fit uprated rod bolts on my 2.1 block when i fit it just to be safe.
mine revs through to 6500. SRIcrew 7500, ****ing hell mate. That is a few revs, i bet you no when your cars doing that. I wouldt do it much myself.
its 7250 as standard, mine now goes to 7750.
MrSri, your tacho is clearly overeading. No standard vauxhall 2 litre does more than 38 in first gear. the gear ratios and rev limit dont add up.
my cav goes to just over 40....
mine dont even go to 50 in 1st with 7750rpm limit.
The reading for my tacho has been queried before and has been verified just to make sure. Remember this reading is from a X20XEV fitted to an SRi140, and not the standard range gearbox.
I was under the impression that standard ones went to 7000. Mine has been chipped and goes to about 7200.
Oh yeah I got Cossie big end bolts in mine.
All hail McChameleon! Thane of Cavalier!
