    gear box/engine advice

Next month a rebuilt GTE engine will be going in to my car in favour of the originall gte. It will be running twin 40 webbers, Shrick 290 degree cam and a byldenstein (Spl) B+ head. A Facet red top fuel pump, and i think that is it.

I was wondering which gear box to use. I have at my disposal a new/recon turbo diesel box, and my original gte box.

Also what bhp should i be producing from this set up, and what times should i expect?

What would the differences between the two boxes be, acceleration/top end etc etc. Bearing in mind it will be reiving anywhere up to 8K will the GTE box be able to cope with that?

    Cheers Paul

oh yeh, the gearbox should be fine, but the oil pump won't like being revved to 8K, neither will the lifters.
