Reading through the technical section and hoping to understand as I do I notice many of the big power GTE boys popping bits of their engine, belts letting go and generally the engine behaving as well as a group of england football fans in tunisia.
Are all of the 'misfortunes' suffered by Gary, 0ddball, Mike and co a result of the extra stress put on the engines in varying forms as a result of the increased power they're running?
I've read Gary's site, some info on Mike's and paid attention like a good boy so I know that pumps, cambelts and bits go after a certain number of miles or years (if you're lucky). But is it still a lottery with keys, cranks, pulleys and the like or should they be ok for as long as I have the car?
I know there are no definites in motoring, but generally?
P.S What do brake pads cost these days?
