Our entry level conversion. Typically stage one conversions use relatively low boost (10-14 psi) and std engine internals, the compression is sometimes lowered by means of a special head gasket, the turbo is fitted to the std manifold, the turbo used on 8V engines is Garrett unit from either T2 or T3 range. (20XE engines benifit from std KKK from C20LET and X20XEV can use std unit from Z20LET)
The std injection system is retained, the ECU receives recalibrated software for ignition and injection, while a rising rate regulator takes care of fuel pressure on boost, air from the turbo passes through a small intercooler via silicone hoses and preformed pipe to give a factory appearance, a dump valve is also fitted.
Changes are also made to provide the turbo with an adequate oil supply and drain back to the sump. Exhaust system requirements even at this level are far greater than for normally aspirated engines, we would advise a straight through system.
Output for 8V engines is circa 205 bhp 200 lbs/ft and 220 bhp 210 lbs/ft for 16V.
