My hands are swollen and red from working all day yesterday on my motor. My day started with cleaning the Idle Control Valve. The revs have been sticking at about 2k when I release throttle and engage clutch. I thought ICV, so afetr being shocked at where its located on these engines I battled to get it out and cleaned it all up. guess what, it still does it - do you think I should replace it or maybe I am looking in the wrong area to solve the problem?
I also decided to remove the front bumper and take the Intercooler out to clean and measure up for moving it to the lower grillee area. However the bumper was a real git to get off and as for that bolt next to the washer bottle (who thought of putting that there!?) . The intercooler didn't look as though it would fit without cutting the bumper back and I was relcutant to do this without the correct piping to move the bugger.
I also removed my drivers side foglight as I am going to make a cold air feed going up and into the air box. Anyone any thoughts on this? After having read the recent post on this I decided this was an excellent location for a feed, the car may look slightkly weird but it should go alot better.
Anyway, the bumper didn't seem to want to go backin place but in the end with a little gentle persuassion I manager to get it back to roughly where it should be.
Anyway, if you've read this far, shame on you. You should be outside playing with the other kids! LOLlmao lmao
