As you probably know I managed to write off the mk3. The engine had just rolled on to 79k miles which isnt much and it was pretty quick. The box I always thought was pretty good too, maybe a little slop.
The reason I ask is that as far as I know it now has a snapped cambelt probably from when it spun whilst still in gear, didnt floor the clutch quick enopugh. I also think that it has a cracked sump.
I was thinking of reapairing and then when I can afford to insure it drop the engine in the mk2. It wont weigh much and I reckon it could be quite easily tuned to about 125bhp.
Anyone want to check the engine out and help pull it out.
