I have this fault code on my 2 litre 16v Nova. I can't race it round anymore because of this, Everytime you do floor it really hard it sounds like its running on 3 cylinders( sounds like a subaru). Power goes right down too.
It doesn't accelerate smooth either it hesitates allot!
Is the same code all the time 26. Injector Valve 2 - High voltage.
Now how do i fix it? What does it mean?
When i drive the car normally it will drive fine, Still hesitates though when accelerating
i had that problem low voltage on no4 inj i took all injectors out cleaned them up and put them back in again and made sure the connectors were pushed on properly still didnt work so i changed the injector and everything was fine
You could swap the injector to another cylinder and see if you get a slightly different error. If you do, then there is something wrong with the injector. If not, it's the wiring.
Well The Black plastic bit is pushed down fine. And if it wasn't it would do it all the time not just when i floor it. Could it be getting pulled out by something when i floor it or could it just be blocked?
But still why wud it only do it when i boot it?? When it does it when i floor it, and drive normally again it will stop doing it and go back to normal after a bit without me even touching anything under the bonnet, and it won't do it again until i floor it again.
engine shifts back and loosens the connection to the injector
