bumping it (kickstart is broken) the engine revs to about 1000rpm then just dies (doesnt idle atall), theirs spark, the engine is turning, maybe the two fuel pipes the wrong way round but apart from that or fuelling i dunno
it'll kick in for a few seconds. all I can think of is fuelling. Any other suggestions?
sounds like idle jet m8 if its not fuel injetion (dnt no what bike it is). shud be the smallest jet in the carb, probably got abit of muck in it, give it a clean out and run a fuel filter betweem tank and carb to stop any **** getting in again.
As said most likely cr@p in the carb. Drop carb off, remove float chamber and remove and clean all jets & fuel ways.
Also check float still floats - if it doesn't it'll flood engein as won't stop carbs filling. Notice any fuel coming out of float chamber?
Maybe good idea to otake off tank and swirl out. Could be rusted inside and bloking gauze/filter on pick-up pipe.
Fuel tap - could be worth stripping this and cleaning.
95% chance this is fuel problem though. Sounds a classic case. anyhow also take out plug before bumping and see if it'll spark. Then take out after buping and see it it's wet, and if it's still sparking.
