I'm getting hold of an XE block which I intend to strip and rebuild.
I won't be doing this for a while, whats best way of storing it?
Is it ok to drop the oil and leave it dry as it's being stripped down anyway

chuck some thick oil in the bores and crank it by hand to spread it around.

Bearings should stay oiled so long as they can't get damp, and you don't dismantle them

Well....the plan is to slowly get the bottom end rebuilt when i get spare cash.
Then source a head have the works done on that.
Run the engine until I can get the cash for the 208 tp kit.
so looking for an engine that can handle 200bhp+
