no damage done thank god, been told its 2 teeth or more and you have valve/piston contact.
Its the crank pulley that is out of line, the cam pulleys are lined up with the notches on the cam cover fine, but the mark on the crank pulley had gone passed the pin to line it up with.
Obviously this is going to explain it running like a sack of crap and loss of performance causing me to sit out Trax, but I'm really keen to find out if this can cause the other problems Ive been having, strong fume smells at at more than 50% throttle over 3krpm, and the overfuelling. Does anyone know?
Hopefully it will be fixed on thursday night in time for Billing, be gutted to have to leave the car behind for that.
